The forum was held on 7th August at Taj Palace with a participation of over 1400 participants. ORKASH's session was an invite only, closed door session with the Government dignitaries from National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), National Informatics Center (NIC), Indian Meteorology Dept. (IMD) and select few international organizations Indian Red Cross, UNDP and Joint Assistance Center. IG NDRF, setting the theme of the event, provided excellent insights on rescue operations and the challenges involved by quoting examples from their latest rescue mission in Uttarakhand. The panel discussed about the present framework of disaster response and management in the multi- agency environment, the challenges faced and proposed upgradations in the technology and response mechanism. ORKASH presented a need based operational architecture while bringing out the ground level pain points. SAP presented it's technology solutions and used case studies of their solutions deployed in various countries.
    The event was aimed at bringing public and private sector at a common platform so that the areas of collaboration and interaction in the field of disaster management could be identified which was successfully achieved through the event.

The forum was held on 7th August at Taj Palace with a participation of over 1400 participants. ORKASH's session was an invite only, closed door session with the Government dignitaries from National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), National Informatics Center (NIC), Indian Meteorology Dept. (IMD) and select few international organizations Indian Red Cross, UNDP and Joint Assistance Center. IG NDRF, setting the theme of the event, provided excellent insights on rescue operations and the challenges involved by quoting examples from their latest rescue mission in Uttarakhand. The panel discussed about the present framework of disaster response and management in the multi- agency environment, the challenges faced and proposed upgradations in the technology and response mechanism. ORKASH presented a need based operational architecture while bringing out the ground level pain points. SAP presented it's technology solutions and used case studies of their solutions deployed in various countries.
